Operating principle and features
A carefully manufactured chamber, hermetically sealed with a lid on a screw thread, is a key element of low error.
Also, due to the spring built into the lid, accurate dosing is ensured - during successive moisture measurements, the same number of grains gets inside.
In fact, this is a constant value of the grain nature in the chamber volume, which has a unique value of the dielectric constant proportional to the moisture content of the grain crop studied outside the laboratory.
The electric field, piercing the sample, changes its parameters.
The Superpoint grain moisture meter contains settings for 16 popular grain samples in the electronic memory.
If you have not worked with this model before, take into account a few simple tips.
- ✓ Clean the container with a brush from grains and dust.
- ✓ Turn on the device with the ON/TEST button.
- ✓ Select calibration.
- ✓ Prepare the sample by visual inspection to ensure there are no pebbles, straw, insects, or other debris and pour it into the container.
- ✓ Fill the chamber completely.
- ✓ Do not hold the device, but closer to the middle. This will ensure balance, protect against the risk of falling and will not tire the muscles of the hand.
- ✓ Screw on the lid. When screwing, you will feel an effort. This is the grains being compressed. Turn until the metal circle in the center of the lid is level with the plastic surface.
- ✓ Start the ON/TEST measurement process.
- ✓ Read the data from the display: humidity in % and the average value of several measurements.
