Grounding rod, length 33 cm
Suitable for all electrifiers
Length: 33 cm
We do not always appreciate the role of grounding in maintaining the effective functioning of an electric fence. When an animal touches the fence wire, it locks the circuit from the electrifier through the ground. If the circuit does not lock due to poor grounding, the current will not flow and the animals will not feel the electric impulse. To ground battery power supplies, you only need a grounding strip. When applying electrical impulses to the fence from a power supply powered by a 230 V network, use 2 - 3 metal strips connected by an insulated cable, fixed in the ground at intervals of 1 meter. If no current breakdown is detected on the grounding circle, the grounding is fine. When building long electric fences that are many kilometers long, extend the ground wire from the energizer slightly above the ground along the entire length of the fence. Every few dozen meters, insert metal stakes into the ground and connect them to the ground wire.
